Skincare routine not cutting it?

If you’re unhappy with the appearance of your skin, VIVA Skin Clinics provide a range of different skincare options to help rejuvenate and refresh your complexion. Whether you’re looking to boost your skin’s natural radiance, looking for cosmetic solutions for issues such as scarring or hyperpigmentation, or simply want to look a little fresher, we are here to help.

As with all of our services, the first step is to call and arrange a free consultation. You’ll be seen by one of our medically-trained aesthetic artists, who will discuss your particular needs and talk you through the available treatment options. The consultation will also include a full review of your lifestyle, giving us a deeper understanding of what may be affecting your skin and how you can maintain results in the long-term.

Is there any aftercare advice you can offer?

Chemical Peel Aftercare: It is normal to experience some skin sensitivity following your Chemical Peel, and you can expect the skin to flake for up to 10 days post-treatment. It is therefore important that you follow the skin care routine your VIVA doctor has set out for you in clinic.
You should also treat your skin gently and avoid picking or trying to remove any peeling.

Avoid the use of scrubs or skin masks while skin is peeling. Instead, use hydrating products such as Obagi Hydrate. This will help ease any discomfort (your doctor will discuss the appropriate products to use during your appointment).

Whilst your skin is peeling, avoid direct sunlight and always wear SPF50. You should avoid any heat related environments such as sauna, steam rooms and Jacuzzis for a 7- day period, and sunbathing for 2 weeks post-procedure.

No glycolic acid/resurfacing/retinol products are to be used for a 2 week period both before and after your chemical peel.
