What is Jawline Filler?
The application of dermal fillers, made of hyaluronic acid, is used to effectively sculpt and reshape the jaw, to shape, define, and enhance the lower facial. These are typically not painful, although some people may experience mild levels of discomfort as you would with any injection. A numbing topical cream can be applied to help reduce sensation in the jaw.
Using dermal fillers also has the added benefit of decreasing the appearance of loose skin and the appearance of a double chin, as it gives a tightening effect.
Why would one want jawline filler?
While some people are born with a jawline they are not happy with, in most cases, the jawline appearance is affected by the ageing process. As the skin loses elasticity thanks to collagen production decreasing, the jawline starts to appear soft and lacking definition.
The corners of the mouth also begin to droop, causing ‘marionette lines’ – wrinkles that extend into the jawline – and creating ‘jowls’.
Who can get jawline filler?
Jawline Filler treatment can help anyone to create a contoured jawline that frames the face and even obtain a more masculine or feminine jawline.
This treatment is popular in men, who feel want more of a chiselled profile.
