02 Dec What is Baby Botox?
‘Baby Botox’ is a treatment that involves tiny doses of Botulinum Toxin injected into areas of the face like between the eyebrows or the forehead. The results are very similar to when normal doses of Botox are given, but with ‘lighter’ treatment, there’s more movement and the results don’t last quite as long.
A traditional Botox treatment aims to get rid of almost all lines and wrinkles, giving a very smooth appearance. Baby Botox aims to treat just a few lines and wrinkles while preserving certain natural expression lines. This treatment is ideal for clients who are just starting Botox treatments and want to familiarise themselves with the procedure and results.
“It’s always better to get less than you think you ‘need’ and then come back for a follow-up appointment if you decide you want more. I am very careful to never overdo it with Botox and I often recommend Baby Botox for my younger clients.” Lead Practitioner, Dr. Rupert Critchley says.
Which areas can I target with Baby Botox?
Baby Botox is often used to treat crow’s feet, the fine lines and wrinkles at the corner of the eyes, frown lines and shallow wrinkles on the forehead. The eyebrow may also be injected to help open up the eyes and this can have a remarkable effect on overall youthful appearance.
This treatment is not suitable for use under the eyes or for very deep wrinkles.
As is the case with Botox injections, patients report significant improvements to fine lines and generally look and feel younger following Baby Botox. Confidence levels improve as a natural youthful look is preserved, while some common wrinkles are preserved.
